One of the many things to love about Mid-Missouri is the abundance of charming small towns scattered throughout the region. Nestled within a 30 to 40 mile radius of Moberly there are many rural schools. Zaya is from one of those small schools. This Higbee spring senior session was one for the books.
When searching for a location for her pictures, she was looking for open fields with minimal trees, because in early March and the trees still had no leaves. As soon as she said that I knew I had the perfect location for her. I call this spot my hidden gem. I stumbled upon it a couple years ago while searching for fall color in late November. It had so many options for portraits, plus it is just right outside of Moberly.
I love Zaya’s outfit choices for her session a mix of dressy and casual, but still cute. Her first outfit was a white dress, which made it feel like spring. If your taking your senior session during the early spring the outfits you pick can help elevate the vibe that you are going for. Everything is dead in the beginning of March because we may still have some winter weather. We had the challenge of creating beautiful portraits with extreme wind gusts. But we pushed through, I am so stinking proud of these portraits! Zaya’s second outfit was light pink shirt with jeans that she paired with a white bow in her hair. Her bow was my favorite, so of course we had to get a few shots showing it off.
Zaya: You are truly the sweetest lady. It was an absolute pleasure photographing you. I am so excited to see all the great thing you will do! I have no doubt that you’ll continue to share your sweet smile wherever life takes you.
